Let's Get Drunk...Forget What We Did

Well, it has taken me this long to find the energy to post...I had a hella weekend last weekend. It was so fun. Jackie's bachelorette party and shower were a blast. It was so good to be home and it had been so long. I was really sad and homesick when I got back on Monday afternoon. :o( Okay, happy thoughts. Here are some pictures! On Wednesdays We Wear Pink!!

Whew. A moment of panic has passed. So, planning a bachelorette party from afar has proven... interesting. Ha ha. I just booked the limo for Jackie's party, and originally I thought it was going to be ridiculously expensive. But then I found out that half as many people are going than I expected, which cut the cost down a lot since I can get a smaller limo. Thank the Lord. So that means it is going to end up being like $25 per person, and $50 per bridesmaid, or something close to that. Now I just have to figure out how to get my giant penis cake pan home.

On a happier note...I bought a super cute mini to wear out that night! I'm so excited. And what do you know...I found a picture of it for you all to see from the Forever 21 website:

It looks a lot cuter on and in person, promise. I can't even believe that Forever 21 has the nerve to have a website, honestly. Their sizes are so messed up. I had to buy a large in that dress so it didn't look like I was trying to jam 10 pounds of sugar in a 5 pound bag. Seriously. How could anyone even consider ordering something from their website?! And another thing, my sister and I have talked about this in the past: If you look at the bottom of a Forever 21 shopping bag, it reads John 3:16. As in, the bible verse? Huh? How does a store that specializes in dressing girls in as little clothing as possible get by with a bible verse on the bottom of their shopping bags? I looked up the verse:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

And he also gave us skirts so short your ass falls out the bottom! Woo hoo!!

My First 5K

Today I ran my first official 5K race. It was really hard, mainly because it was really hilly everywhere. But I finished, and I didn't finish last. That was my goal. Ha ha. I never, ever run for time when I run. I just run for 30 minutes and however far I go, that's it. I finished the race in 31:15, which sucks for people who are really good runners but to me it was awesome. Because that means I ran faster than a 10 minute mile. This morning I was trying to decide when I actually became crazy, though, because the race started at 7 a.m. That meant I had to get up at 5:15 so I could get to the place, meet with the rest of the team, warm up, and pin on my number and everything. Can you believe I voluntarily got up at 5:15 a.m. in order to go run in a race? Me neither.

Tonight I am going to see Knocked Up with Joe's sister and some friends. I'm excited; it looks funny. Speaking of movies, I watched Little Children the other day. It was totally weird and disturbing. It reminded me of American Beauty in a way...it was that kind of weird. Not to mention it was about people having affairs, which I can't stand. I hate movies about that. Seriously, start paying attention to the amount of movies, books, and T.V. shows that include that as a topic. It is really difficult to avoid. I really don't understand the obsession with that topic lately. Well, maybe it isn't just lately, it's just that I don't ever want to watch or read things about it so I notice it now.

So it's been a while since I last posted. I have since gotten a new desk at work. It actually has---A WINDOW!! I can't believe it. I no longer feel like I am in a cave for 40 hours a week. Woo hoo! Other than that, there really hasn't been much going on...I won't bore you!
