Dudes, this cat totally needs to dial the above number - stat. Look at her! A 44 pound cat!!! That's even bigger than my sister's cats, and that's saying a lot. She's all waddling around and stuff, and thinking that being hugely fat was all part of her plan to never be put in a cage again. What I want to know is how did a stray cat get to be that huge? Wait, scratch that. My mother feeds stray cats like crazy and wants to make everything fat. LOL.

So, last night softball went really well! I was so impressed with myself! I actually hit the ball 3 times! I mean, c'mon, I haven't played since 8th grade! It was really fun, all the people on the team were really nice, and we had a great time. I definintely am going to play again. :) Alice was totally on her a-game and made a double play! It was awesome. We lost the first game and ended up tying the second one. Yay.

Other than that not much else going on except tonight I am going to get my hair done, and thank the Lord tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!

I think you should go back to Greenbo ALABAMA!

So. Tired. Ugh.

Well I found out last night at class that it was our last meeting! Our professor wants us to email or fax our exams to him so we don't have to come to class next week!!!!!! YES! I was so freaking happy when he said that. After class Alice and I went to Outback and omg it was so good. I will never, ever get sick of that place. I love it.

Tonight I am going to play softball with Alice and some of my other co-workers and let me tell you, it is going to be freaking hilarious because I am the absolute WORST softball player ever. But the guy who runs the team asked me to play a bunch of times, and I think it will be fun even though I am afraid of the ball. LMAO!

So, yeah, I'll let you know how that goes. LOL.

I just realized that I totally forgot to mention that I got another award for my project that I used to always complain about!! This time it was from Lockheed and it came with $500!! Woot!! I'll be putting that in my vacation fund. :)

Well not much else to talk about today. It's Tuesday which means today is going to be loooooong.

Twilight Zone Doo Doo Doo Dooooooooo

Okay, you might want to sit down for this.

It's Monday - and - I'm in a good mood!!!!!!!!!!

OMG it was so weird typing that!

And on top of it all I had the absolute WORST case of insomnia last night and didn't end up falling asleep until like 3 a.m., which means I am running on like 5 hours of sleep. Weirdest thing ever.

Well the OAR concert was absolutely the awesomest thing ever, again, no surprise. We had so much fun. Man, I LOVE seeing them in concert. They always put on the best show. Afterwards we went dancing and that was fun too. Yay.

Last week I watched a new movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It was totally NOT what I was expecting at all!!! It was freaking hilarious! There was a drag queen in it that made the movie. She cracked me up the entire time.

Well, I am so excited to say this - I only have two sessions left of this class!!!! This week is the last homework assignment and next week is the final exam, which is a take-home exam. OMG Thank the LORD that this class is ALMOST OVER!!!!!

Imagination Station, My Ass!!!

Omg this is freaking hilarious! This 5 year old kid left his daycare, went to a gas station and bought a pop and snacks, and then went to Hooters. Read the article here. A 5 year old?! Are you kidding me? I could not stop laughing when I read that headline.

Okay then there is this other story. Not much to it because it is really just a poll asking about unique names, but I had to mention it because Jackie and I were just talking about how we like unique names (because she is deciding on a name for her baby girl!!). It says that a girl just got approved for a court order to legally change her name because her parents had named her Talula Does the Hula. HA HA! Talula Does the Hula?!?!?!?!

Well, I am super excited that it is Friday, but at the same time I am bummed because tonight is Robyn's bachelorette party and I am not in Michigan to join the festivities. :o( It sucks. And add to that bummed-out-ness because they are going to Crave, which is where Robbie works, and that means Robyn gets to see my boyfriend and I don't. So unfair.

So tonight I am going shopping with Jade. I am sleeping in as late as I want to tomorrow. OMG I am so sleep deprived. Then tomorrow night is OAR, and then Sunday I am going to be a bum and lay at the pool all day with Alice.

Did I already mention - so glad it's Friday?

I can't have a bunch of old, pregnant bitches running around

OMG so tired. Again. I would give anything to just go home and sleep for like a million hours right now. Ugh. It's my own dumb ass fault, so don't feel too bad for me. I went out again last night because it was Andy's last night in town. We went to Local 16 with a bunch of his co-workers. It was fun but I was exhausted. They all kept telling me I was acting like a totally different person than I was on Monday. I was like, yeah, I was having some cocktails then, and tonight I'm sober and exhausted! Duh!

I can't believe it is already Wednesday. I am definintely staying home, doing laundry, and going to bed early tonight.

I am so excited because this weekend is the OAR concert! Yay! It was such a blast last year. I love them. In case you've never heard one of their songs, here is a video of one of my favorites!

On another note, I cannot believe that I have to wait TWO more weeks until I see my boyfriend again. :(

This is too funny not to post

OMG look at this picture that was on the Engrish website! This was way too funny - I had to post it.

Ugh went out to the bar last night with Andy... Georgetown like crazy. Like whoa.

My brain is not functioning.

Sounds like a good time to go finish my homework.

Talk About Being in the Wong Place at the Wong Time

Okay so 10 people were hit by lightning in Boston last Saturday. 10! Can you believe that!? Here is the article! Remember that guy from the movie The Great Outdoors who was hit by lightning 6-6-6-6-6-6-6-66 times?! Okay stupid question maybe - but doesn't everyone know that you are NOT supposed to stand under a tree during an electrical storm?

OMG so the weekend was an absolute blast. Well, starting Wednesday I went to Philadelphia for work and also to meet up with Lindsay and Pat because they were there for vacation (and Pat had a work thing there). So we went out and had some fun times there. I really liked Philadelphia. We went to a little Italian place for dinner and it totally reminded me of some of the places I went to while I was in Rome. It was cute. They did sightseeing during the day while I was slaving away at work. From what I saw of the city though, it seemed really cool! I was glad to get to go down there because I never, ever do when I am there for work.

The rest of the weekend we spent sightseeing in DC and we all almost melted the entire time. It was SO hot. Normally the heat doesn't really bother me but I guess I really don't spend much time walking around the city in the middle of the day. I really only do sightseeing when I have visitors. But we saw a lot of cool stuff, most of the monuments, and also the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution that is located in the National Archives. I had never seen it before and it was really cool. Then on Sunday - which was the coolest part ever - we got to go on a tour of the White House west wing (I did when Jackie and Steve visited too). It was so cool, again, even though I had seen it before. The oval office is so beautiful. And there were some rooms/areas that were open this time that weren't the last time I was there, so it was even cooler. :) After that we went to lunch and then just went back to my apartment and chilled until they had to go to the airport. I was sad that they had to leave. It is great having visitors, especially when it is my best friends, and so it really hurts to have to say goodbye when it is time to leave.

After they left I just cleaned up my apartment and did homework. Did I ever tell you that I hate school? Because I really, really do. LOL. Also, Ghostbusters was on so I watched that. That movie is so good. It seems like they have been playing it a lot lately! LOL. And now look at this pic I found on I Can Has Cheezburger! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

My Wegs Hut

I have no idea why but my legs are killing me today! They are seriously sore and tired! WTF?

Well I guess not much exciting to talk about today. I have been saying that a lot lately. LOL. I cannot wait for this weekend omg. It is going to be so much fun having Lindsay and Pat visiting!

Ugh I am exhausted and cannot think.

Sorry, I'm boring today.

Zombie Missy

OMG I am such a zombie today. Alice and I were up until midnight at her house working on homework, which, by the way we DIDN'T finish yet. Then I stayed up talking on the phone until 1 a.m. So today, ladies and gentlemen, I am a zombie. My co-worker politely said, "You look a little low-energy today." LOL!!! To say the least!

I got my score back on my midterm and I got a 96! Yes! I was so excited.

However, after I finish my graduate degree, if I ever talk about going back to school again - please shoot me.

You're Not Going to Believe This

Well last weekend was a blast. Friday night my toga party was a hit and we had a really great time. I didn't really take any pictures though, I was too distracted. Sorry. :(

Saturday night was so fun - the Brad Paisley concert and also Jewel. We were about to go to our seats on the lawn and a guy came up to me, Alice, and Fitzalan and gave us front row tickets!!!! It was the coolest thing ever. I guess he was a promoter for Brad Paisley or something. It was seriously the coolest experience ever. I have never been in the front row for a concert before.

Ugh I still hate Mondays though. I went to bed last night at 9. Not kidding.

So Glad it is Friday

Every Friday it seems I have the same title of my post. Go figure.

OMG I am so excited - I just found out yesterday that Jewel is also going to be at the Brad Paisley concert tomorrow night!!! I love her! I couldn't believe it when I found out.

Well last night was pretty uneventful, I just worked out and ran errands and stuff. Yay fun.

I really can't believe it is already the weekend. This week really flew by.

My allergies are driving me nuts today. It's so weird, I never had them until I moved here. And when I do get allergy attacks here, it really just feels like I have a cold. So basically I did NOT want to get out of bed this morning. But here I am. It's almost time to go though. :)

Well I'm totally bummed because I thought I was going to get sent on a work trip next week to Ypsilanti but now it looks like we don't get to go. I'm sad. I was really excited when I found out about it originaly. I guess maybe there is still a chance. But the meeting I was going to go to is on Wednesday, and since it is already Thursday, it doesn't look promising. So I guess maybe the next work trip I have to look forward to is potentially California at the end of August. Which is fine, because that means I'll be able to stop in Vegas again on the way home!!!! Weeeeeee!!!!!

Today I went to a going-away luncheon for one of my government customers. She is voluntarily going to Iraq. Can you say crazy?! I just can't believe that someone would actually ask to go there! She isn't even military, either. Aren't you happy that we have brave people like her who are willing to take one for the team?

Did you hear about Jesse Jackson dissing Barack Obama?

I have a very important announcement - CANNONBALL!!!!!

Not much to talk about again. I'm boring lately. Oh well.

Yesterday was a long day, but not too bad. Work all day then school all night. Woo hoo.

Oh, one thing that is super exciting - Lindsay and Pat got their tickets to come visit me in two weekends!!!!!!! I am so excited. I can't wait.

That's all. Go back to your boring job.

Not Much to Say

Not much to talk about today. It's Monday. Boo.

Tonight I get to have a fun-filled evening of working on my mid-term exam!! I am so excited. I guess I am very thankful that it is a take home exam, because if it weren't I'd be totally screwed. I'm just now figuring this stuff out.

Last weekend was a total blast. I got to spend time with Fitzalan at Cantina Marina and then we went out in Arlington and met up with her Mom at a new place called Restaurant 3. It ended up being a pretty crazy night to say the least. On Independence Day, we (me, Jade, Fitzalan, Justin, and Fitzalan's mom) went to the Iwo Jima memorial to watch the fireworks. It was a great show but unfortunately it rained on and off the entire day. Saturday night Jade and I checked out a new place in the U street corridor: Tabaq. It looked pretty cool but there weren't many people there so we ended up going ot Local 16 instead. Then Sunday I went out to lunch with Jacqi, her boyfriend, and Jessi in Georgetown because Jacqi was in town visiting from Memphis. It was SO good. OMG I ate so much I wasn't hungry again until like 11:30 at night. LOL.

Okay this post is ridiculously boring so I will end it now.

It's Sorta Friday!

Yes! Last day of work for the week! Love it!!!

Well, I don't really have much exciting to talk about today. Oh, I did want to say that my book club selected the next book - A Thousand Splendid Suns. I'm excited. I read his other book, The Kite Runner, and I really liked it. It was sorta sad though. Oh and there were a few scences that were really disturbing. But it was pretty good overall. Also, I'm reading another book right now called Eat, Pray, Love. OMG it is so funny. It makes me laugh out loud all the time, which I really can't say for most books. The only other one I can think of that made me do that was Bridget Jones's Diary (which, by the way, was a MILLION times better than the movie so you must read it).

Okay, I'm off to a meeting! Ttyl and Happy Independence Day!

It's Not Lying, It's Strategic Misrepresentation

Too many crazy things to talk about today. OMG. Okay, it's all stuff that I have read on the Internet.

First, this guy, who is just an actor, thinks that because he played a black president on TV that it helped Obama win the Democratic nomination. Wow. Me thinks someone's a little big for their britches. I don't know. I really hope a stupid TV show doesn't have that much influence on who we choose to run for president. Then again, stranger things have happened.

Second, omg you have to watch this video about watermelon!!! Every old dude in the world is going to start making watermelon part of their daily diet - because now they are saying that a chemical in it will help a brotha out the same way Viagra does. WTF?! LOL!!! And check out the multiple TMI instances in the video! LOL!

Okay, finally, I got this video from Cute Overload. Let's just say borrowed. But I thought it was really sweet, and since I know not everyone checks Cute Overload religiously like I do, I decided to put it on my blog too. :)

Yes My Princess - Gotta Love It!!!!

This video made me laugh.

You know, cuz, that's what people say to me all the time wherever I go. I know, right?!

Feeling Very Happy Today

Oh man I am feeling so much better today. Yesterday was a rough one. I'm not going to go into it because I don't want to be sucked back into the depths again. Ugh.

This is strange to be happy on a Tuesday considering I have class tonight. Oh and Alice isn't going to be there so I am going to be hella lonely. Maybe I'll actually pay attention today. Which has really been the plan all along but doesn't always seem to work out that way! LOL!

Well, I really don't have much exciting to say today other than the fact that I am SUPER pumped that I do not have to work on Friday. And Independence Day is my favorite-est holiday ever, and there is no better place to be to celebrate it than Washington DC!!! Woot! I already have super fun plans with Fitzalan and I am so excited. Yay!
